Autumn School Holidays In And Around Byron Bay

It feels like we only just started the new school year yesterday.  Yet here we are in the last week of Term 1, seriously where did the time go? This Friday is not only Friday the 13th but also D-day folks!  Another 2 weeks of fun and activities as the NSW Autumn School Holiday’s begin.

I’ve put together a quick list of a few of the school holiday programs available in the Northern Rivers, Byron Bay area during these Autumn school holidays. Some run for a day or two, some for a week and some for the whole school holidays.

Important note: The local council program is connected with Centrelink too, so can be beneficial if you are receiving CCB or CCR.

Here are 8 autumn School Holiday programs and activities in the Northern Rivers, Byron Bay Area for april 2018.

1. Circus art

Program Daily Cost: Kids program = Half day $40/ Full day $70 (Discounts when you buy 3 or 5 day packages)
Time: There are 3 choices, A half day in the morning 9:30am-12, afternoon 2:00pm -4:30pm or a full day 9:30am-4:30pm
Dates: Program runs Monday – Saturday
Age: Kids program =5-15 years
What’s included:
– An action-packed day of circus skills, activities and lots of fun!
– Morning program includes morning tea
– Afternoon program includes afternoon tea
– Bring your own lunch or buy it there

Program Daily Cost: Teen Program = $84/$114
Time: There are 3 choices, A half day in the morning 9:30am-2pm, afternoon 2:00pm -6pm or a full day 9:30am-4:30pm
Dates: Wednesday & Thursday
Age: Teen Program = 12-16 years
What’s included: Circus skills, arts & crafts and meals all included with the full day program.

3. SPAGHETTI CIRCUS

6. BYRON COUNCIL VACATION CARE (BRUNSWICK HEADS, MULLUMBIMBY, BYRON BAY)

What’s included: Excursions to local attractions (Cinema, Tenpin Bowling, local swimming pool etc), Art & craft, sports, music.

7. THE FARM

Cost: $50 per day (School Holiday Workshop)

What’s included: All kinds of workshops on offer (flowers, chickens, bees. Cows, pigs, medicinal herbs, seeds, beneficial bugs etc) over different days during the school holidays.

Daily Cost: $120 for the day (Mini Farmer Program)
Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Dates: 17 April 2018
Age: 7-12 years

What’s included: Mini Farmers Program introduces children to life on a farm and are able to work alongside real farmers and get their hands dirty (literally). Eg. Farm Chores, cooking, creating etc.

What’s included: Fun activities and crafts with qualified early learning staff. Kids are also able to play freely.

    We love visiting a farm near where we are. I love the Sunflower field visit too. We went quite late last year and all the flowers were a little droppy. 🙁 So we’ll make sure we’ll go a bit eariler this year. 🙂
