I swear since having my kids I live in a musical. The amount of singing and dancing that goes on in our house is incredible! Thankfully, I love musicals always have and always will. This week I will be surprising our kiddlets with a mini family getaway which includes a gorgeous hotel in the heart of Brisbane CBD and a trip to the QPAC theatre to see the amazing ‘Aladdin’ and some last minute shopping before Baby number 3 arrives.
After baby number 3 arrives I am not sure how many trips to the theatre I’ll squeeze in… So I thought I’d make a list of Musicals I can still enjoy on DVD until we find our new family rhythm (no pun intended).

Do you have a favourite musical? Did it make it to the list or has it not been made into a movie yet? I LOVE “Wicked” and wish I could add it to this list or at least go and see it on stage again.
I am not the biggest musical lover, but Grease is so awesome! #AnythingGoes
Ah Ive not seen any of these – I missed out on Cats about 20 years ago in NYC as i was too young! I love the theatre though #AnythingGoes
I think sound of music is still my all time fav! #antyinggoes
I love musicals. Wicked as great but my favourite is Rent (the stage version, not the film)! #anythinggoes
We love musicals and have been lucky enough to see a lot of these on the stage. Chicago has to be our favourite for the dancing! Wicked is awesome too, shame it didn’t make it to your list x Does the Lion King count, as that’s pretty awesome x #AnythingGoes x
I love going to see a good show, its one of my favourite things to do. My favourite being Les Miserable. #Anythinggoes
My perfect night out would always include a musical. Loved “We Will Rock You” as a Queen Fan, want to see Cats as my son loves the music and Les Mis – fond memories of going to see it with my Dad many years ago. #AnythingGoes
I am not a musical person. I think the only one that I have ever paid for was Absolute Beginners staring David Bowie about 30 years ago. Horrible movie but great music. Thanks for sharing #ThatFridayLinky
I love musicals too. We saw Finding Neverland on Broadway and that was fab. I adore Lion King and Wicked and I’m desperate to see Les Mis on a stage rather than my screen. #blogstravaganza
I love musicals and have actually just been to London to see Wicked and managed to catch Aladdin too! Both absolutely amazing! From your list I love Grease and Mamma Mia, they’re my favourites #blogstravaganza
I love musicals too but I’ve not been to any for a long time. I need to get my son into them – and capable of sitting through 2 hours+ of theatre. He still struggles at the moment. #thelistlinky
I love your list although i must be onee of the few people in the world who really didn’t like Mama Mia. … I do love the oldies though – faves being, The King and I, Sound of Music and Mary Poppins #thatfridaylinky
Movie wise – Moulin Rouge is amazing. Show wise – Les miserables is breathtaking… (hated the movie) but I’ve been lucky enough to see Dreamgirls with Amber Riley on stage and it’s every bit as good as the movie – some parts perhaps better!!
I love my musicals and luckily Ben seems to love them too! #blogstravaganza
love a musical must admit i do really love cats #Blogstravaganza.
Hands down sound of music! #blogstravaganza
I have been a musical theatre performer my whole life and you’ve picked some decent representations of stage shows! Moulin Rouge, Chicago and Grease always get me singing along!

We love musicals too! Moulin Rouge is my favourite, but I love Evita too. 🙂

My husband loves a musical! A great selection! Thanks so much for sharing with #Blogstravaganza xx
I love musicals! My all time favourite would have to be My Fair Lady. I also really enjoyed La La Land and would love to see that when it’s adapted for the stage. #Blogstravaganza
I really love going to the theatre to see musicals, but hardly ever watch them as films! I’ve only seen a couple of the ones on your list. I might need to change that and give a few more of these a go though! x #TheListLinky
Great choices I love les Mis Thank you for linking to #Thatfridaylinky please come back next week
I wish I had more time to go and see musicals/theatre. Thanks for joining in with #ThatFridayLinky
I really do enjoy a good musical but my other half hates them so I’m sad to say that I’ve only seen 3 of those! I have some work to do hehe. My recent fave has to be The Greatest Showman though. I’ve had the soundtrack on a loop since we first saw it and have been to the cinema twice now to watch it. It’s official – I’m hooked! Thanks for linking up with us for #DreamTeam x
I LOVE musicals but haven’t watched any in ages as I love to sing along and the only chance I get is after the kids are in bed so I can’t wake them with my ‘amazing’ voice. Ooh I want to watch one now! #dreamteam
